2006 Fonsainte "Gris de Gris"

Img_0854_2 So my first post after deciding to write about things other than wine.  A post about wine of course. Just opened a bottle and felt compelled to write something.  This wine is a gorgeous strawberry color.  It super fresh rose that must have just hit the market because it's an 06.  Great sweet aromas and fruit to match.  Nectarines, cherries.  But not cloying at all.  Super rose.  This may be my go-to wine of the summer.

This rose hails from Corbieres, a region of the Languedoc of southern France.  The winery, Domain Fontsainte, has long been a pioneer in the region.

It's imported by our good buddy Kermit Lynch to boot.
